Hey everyone! Just a note to let everyone know that the project that we had
last Friday (12/17/99) went very well. We had 20 City Year corp members and
one volunteer who worked from 9:30 to 2:30. We moved @ 10 yards of crushed
rock and laid it down from the trail head up to the small drainage. We
also cleared and constructed the drainage ditches. There is still a
significant amount of crushed at the street end that we will use further up
the trail.
I am in the process of designing a trails program sign that
will be used at the trail head of all of our projects. A smaller copy can
be used in the kiosk to update neighbors on the project. Our engineer is
currently working on drawings for a new bridge in the drainage and the first
set of timber steps to replace the concrete hazard. once completed we will
install those structures and move on to the upper portion of the focus area.
